Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager is a proactive, guest-focused leader who helps create an exceptional experience for both customers and team members. Working closely with the General Manager, this individual plays a key role in upholding operational excellence, supporting staff development, and fostering a positive, growth-oriented store culture. The Assistant Manager leads by example —balancing accountability, teamwork, and a passion for coffee and people.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3–6 months of leadership experience in a coffee shop, café, or similar fast-paced setting (Ziggi’s experience preferred).
  • Strong grasp of daily store operations, drink quality standards, and service fundamentals.
  • Able to lead by example, give and receive feedback, and step into any role as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven reliability and ability to take initiative without supervision.
  • Completion of required training modules and a strong understanding of brand values.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the General Manager to lead the team and maintain day-to-day operations.
  • Support new hire onboarding, hands-on training, and continual team development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment that prioritizes guest experience and team well-being.
  • Communicate consistently and clearly with the General Manager, store owners, and team members.
  • Execute administrative duties including ordering inventory, preparing deposits, and entering invoices.
  • Assist in upholding health, safety, and cleanliness standards across the store.
  • Step into leadership during GM absences and serve as a reliable decision-maker on shift.
